What Love is NOT

Love is one of the biggest mysteries in the word today. I truly think that in our lifetime science will be able to explain how the brain works and we will be able to create an artificial brain that would enable machines to think like us. Love on the other hand will remain to be a mystery. It will remain to be unexplained, misunderstood, and one of the uncharted regions of a human being.

Scientists will not be able to explain love fully. They will not be able to understand what it is all about. Because I believe that the more intelligent you are, the more mistakes you will make in love. I know that even in my numerous social experiments, I will never be able to decode love and break it down to pieces that people will be able to easily understand. I will also not attempt to tell you what love is, because pure love can never be explained, quantified, or defined. I can however start by telling you what love is NOT.

---Some say that “Love is sacrifice”--- Love is not sacrifice at all. What is the point of loving someone and losing something to pay for the price of love? There is nothing to sacrifice in love. We have all to gain in love. When we love someone and someone loves us, we will gain it all.

---Some say that “Love is painful when you lose the one you love”--- If you end up losing someone, it is not love. Love will stay, love will remain, love is constant, love can be created but it cannot be destroyed. Even if lovers die, their love will live on. If you truly love someone and they truly love you, they will remain in your life.

---Some say that “ You can learn how to love”---Very untrue, you can never teach someone how to love. Love is beyond logic, love is not knowledge, love is not a skill that you can learn and teach. You can never think love, you can only feel it. If you can explain why you love someone, it is not love.

---Some say that “It easy to fall in love with someone who is rich, good looking, with someone popular and famous”---Love is not convenient. It does not know beauty, it doesn’t know who you are. It doesn’t care who you are and what you have. If you loved someone for the reasons stated above, that is wanting, that is lust, not love. Love has no reason, love is intangible, and love cannot be explained. If it is true, it will just happen, just like everything that occurs in the universe. Natural things happen without warning.
